The Ceremony of Atisha Peace Gold Award-2015 and Visuddhananda Peace Gold Award-2015 will be observed on 23 FEBRUARY 2015, Monday, at Dhammarajika Buddhist Monastery, Dhaka, Bangladesh organized by Bangladesh Bouddha Kristi Prachar Sangha. Honorable Speaker of National Parliament Dr. Shirin Sharmeen Chowdhury MP has kindly consented to grace the Award Ceremony as Chief Guest.

Venrable Atisha Dipankar Sregyana is the glorious personality of Bengal and Buddhist of the 10th century. This great genius is the pride of Bengal and the greatest son of thousand years. Atisha Dipankar was a legend of human love, an ascetic of wisdom and was an incomparable personality of various subjects such as religion, philosophy, literature, medical science, engineering and culture.
His multifarious genius had crossed the border of Bengal and his reputation spread out in abroad. He upholds the dignity of Bangla and Bangalee to a great height. On the eve of the happy birthday of such a great genius, the initiative of organizing the ATISHA DIPANKAR PEACH GOLD AWRAD ceremony is an effort of his devout followers. Even after the long span of thousand years, his meditation, cognition, philosophy, worship and teachings are still recognized as the invaluable treasure of mankind and the road map of happiness, prosperity and peace. Therefore, it is said that Atisha is the pride of Bengal, glory of Bangalee and the treasure of the world.
With the aim to immortalize Atisha and propagate his deals among the present generation Bangladesh Bouddha Kristi Prachar Sangha has taken up the program of conferring the ATISHA DIPANKAR PEACE GOLD AWRAD since 2001 and on this award in conferred on for commendable contributions in the fields of education, culture and social development.

Mahasanghanayaka Visuddhananda Mahathera is the most competent heir of thousand years of Buddhist tradition, and the great son of the 20th century Bangalee Buddhist. He was the architect of the Buddhists of Bengal and an illuminated pioneer of the advancement of the Buddhists. His contributions in establishing the world peace and humanitarian performance are unparalleled and majestic. Let the PEACE GOLD AWARD in the name of such a dispassionate, pure and spirited personality be considered as the sublime symbol of our deepest reverence.
In memory of Mahasanghanayaka Visuddhananda Mahathera, the glorious personality of Bangladesh, Bangladesh Bouddha Kristi Prachar Sangha has introduced the VISUDDHANANDA PEACE GOLD AWARD since 2001 for those personalities who are are dedicated for the service of humanity or best efforts for establishing inter-religious harmony.
