Conclusion
This initial study into the use of personal smartphones for giving feedback to students
has been encouraging. In this case, the quality of the feedback has been enhanced
due to the quick turnaround of the feedback, which to some extent has been facilitated
by use of the smartphone. Though more research is now needed, the methods used
in this study have improved effi ciency and effectiveness in the production of feedback
and this in turn indicates an enhancement in the quality and effect of the feedback.
