Previous studies reported that the illumination inhibits
locomotion in M. senile (Bantham and Pantin, 1950) and
Diadumene sp. (MacGinitie and MacGinitie, 1968), Haliplanella
luciae was found to move away from light (Parker,
1917) and E. prolifera moved on a bright day (Dunn,
1977). Migration of S. haddoni was found to be higher in
nights than days, which could be due to the illumination affecting the mobility at day. Perhaps, anemone mobility
was depends on the substrate because 60% of the anemones
(without substrate) moved during this study.
