A few clouds tumbled across the Rocky Mountains. Jack started me out on an easy boulder just outside of town. He pointed out small handholds and footholds in the craggy rocks. Than Jack scrambled up the boulder following a path. At the top,Jack stuck a quickdraw into a tiny fissure in the rock. He laced the loop through a carabiner.
Once below, Jack showed me how to tie a beley rope aroud my waist. Then holding the other end of rope around his waist,Jack instructed me,"Just follow that crack, the one i took." I stepped up to the rock to find my first handhold, then lppked around for suitable ledge to step in to. I took my time working up the path, and I finally stepped on top oef the boulder. Later,Jack helped me reppel down a small cliff. Jack helped me sting rope anchored to a tree though a carabiner attached to my harness and then instructed me to back off the top the cliff.
That summer Jack invited me to go on a climbing expedition to a section of The Rocky mountains in Wyoming. The next morning,We started the climb. The first boulders were easy, and we didn't even need to rope up. Then We did our first wall. Later, we came to a high wall.jack climbed the first ten feet link a mountain goat, than paused as he hammered some hardware in to a crack, added a carabiner, and strung the belay rope though it. Than Jack climbed another ten feet and did the thing. When he got to thirty feet, Jack's foot slipped as he hammered the metal hardware into the rock. A metal decelerator helped me hold the belay rop as Jack fell twenty feet.
