Considering the attractive properties and attributes of halogenobismuthates(III) and the new promising opportunities they may open with regard to the development of useful organic–inorganic hybrid materials, the present study reports the synthesis and structural characterization of the organic–inorganic hybrid material, [C6H16N2]2(BiBr6)NO3, which crystallizes in chiral space group and could be a good candidate for nonlinear optical applications.
This compound is characterized by X-ray diffraction, infrared, and CP-MAS NMR spectroscopies.
