“Next stop will be to reduce CO2 of powerplants. Why do you burn so much coal America?” — TytanX
We have had the technology to go distributed solar for decades; it gets cheaper/easier all the time. But every day we read staggering figures about how much money our government pours into fracking; nuclear; coal; petroleum subsidizes, yet what the mainstream media reports is that Tesla (and others) are receiving huge handouts from Uncle Sam. Never mind that Tesla paid back the loan early, we wouldn’t facts interfering with the rhetoric.
We’re lucky we’ve gotten this far. By “this far” I mean that a tiny percentage of the American population has solar panels—thermal and/or photovoltaic, and/or drives an electric vehicle at all. (And that we—for the time being—have a somewhat neutral internet.)
