Abstract:-
In this paper preservation technology is applied in order to lessen the deterioration rate of the items. With allowed shortages, the paper deal with the establishment of a deterministic inventory model with time dependent demand. Here, demand is considered to be decreasing function of time and is partially backlogged. Holding cost assume to a parabolic. The proposed model is developing to minimize the total inventory cost which includes ordering cost, holding cost, shortage cost, lost sale cost, purchased cost and preservation cost. At the initial stage, this is only an analytic approach towards the prescribed situation.
