The data collected using an interview and a questionnaire.
It was a structured interview that was used with the
human resources managers. The focus of the interview
was on the skills and qualities needed for the employment.
For the survey, the questionnaire method was chosen for this
job because it was the most practical way to assess the
information perceived by the employers.
This survey focused on the perception of the businesses on the
employability skills. The questionnaire used 5-poin-rating
scale. There were 80 items on the skills and abilities
required at work. The representatives from the businesse
s when answering the questions, would have to choose the
degree of importance of the skills required
at work. In analyzing the data, Mean: M,
Standard deviation: S,
Frequency and percentage and t-test were employed.
