Thus, this study presents original data on the level of heavy metals
(lead, chromium, copper and zinc) in some selected fruits and vegetables
consumed in Algeria. The study was undertaken with the
aim to investigate the concentration of these heavy metals and figure
out whether they meet the agreed international requirements.
The study is also dealing with the health risks through the estimated
daily intake (EDI) and the target hazard quotient (THQ) of
these metals via consumption of fruits and vegetables
