Therefore, the second stage of this study focuses on the determination of the potential of the filamentous fungus isolated from activated sludge (Aspergillus niger) in controlling the microalgae biomass density.
Filamentous fungus morphology is composed of a molecularly
sticky hyphae which is postulated to be able to attach and entrap
microalgae cells and removing it from the surrounding water.
Successful application of A. niger would develop low-energy and
chemical-free sustainable microalgae harvesting technique
