So far as personal issues and problems were concerned as indicated by items 5–12, t-test results also disclosed statistically significant differences in all items except two, that is, involvement in romantic relationship and alcoholism and depression. In other words, it might be stated that the students who were able to share personal problems with others (p < 0.01), who were not bothered by any issue mentally (p < 0.01), who were not currently suffering from any major health problems (p < 0.01) and used regular exercise (p < 0.05) had lower levels of depression compared to those who were not engaged in these activities (Table 5).
