Hirata et al. (1999) compared the gene diversity of
Japanese, Chinese and Korean soybean landrace populations
by 16 isozyme and seed protein loci. And the mean diversity
calculated were 0.248 (Japanese), 0.249 (Chinese), and 0.209
(Korean), respectively. Similarly in this study, the mean gene
diversity ranged from 0 (GN and JN) to 0.2642 (GW), with
an average value of 0.1565 for the Korean landraces.
