OKOK guys here is what I know and it's information from someone I trust who is another guest at the convention so their information should be accurate:
★ Yuegene asked AM to book a one way ticket to USA so she could go to a convention in South America (EGIC Ecuador) afterwards
★ BUT, to US customs, a one way ticket looks like legal immigration so they detained her without doing any research
★ The cosplay guest coordinator and the con head spent most of their time at the airport fighting with them
★ HOWEVER, the airport isn't considered US soil, so the AM layer could not get to her to fight the case
★ So now, they are trying to figure out how to fix it all....
TL;DR a seriously unfortunate situation that sadly Yuegene had to face....
I think all we can do now is to wait for Anime Matsuri to post an official statement and hope that there is a way we can help her...

WAIT YOU GUYS, WTF??? Yuegene Fay had issues with her visa so she had to be redirected through the USA and they fucking detained her, didn't get her translator and didnt even believe a single word she's saying? There should be legitimate documentation and a contract that she signed to go to Anime Matsuri so WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?
** UPDATE: She did return safely and I assume she is documenting her experience? They should have legal documentation on her invitation here????
***MORE UPDATE: Anime Matsuri staff did try to get her out of the situation but visa issues were not something that could be fixed simply at the airport. :/ unfortunately, yuegene had to suffer because of it
