You laid in bed staring up at the ceiling. There were many things that could be said about the situation. Some might call the position that you were in lucky. Others would call it hellish. You personally had no clue what to call it.
The reason for the early morning dilemma was the fact that Kurumi was sleeping in the same bed as you and was holding you tightly. You didn't dare move because you had no idea what would make her want to kill you. So you laid there for a while waiting for her to wake up by herself. As you laid there you couldn't help but steal a glance at her sleeping face.
You were actually surprised by how cute and peaceful she looked. Had you not seen what she was capable of firsthand you would've never believed that this girl was capable of any violence. You ended up staring at her just long enough to feel like you were being creepy. Luckily (or unluckily) she woke up at that moment and looked straight into your eyes.
Without saying a word she kissed you on the cheek and got up like you were a married couple. You laid there dumbfounded for a few moments until you finally decided to get up and talk to her. Even though it was sudden and over your head you still had questions about yesterday. For example things like why does she seem to be in love with you.
However whenever you opened the door to the living room you heard your front door open and close. Assuming that she had just gone out you started to run towards the door. Besides having things to ask her, you were afraid that if she went out by herself then someone was about to die. You shuddered as you thought about what would happen to any guy that would try to hit on her. You then realized that she was capable of killing millions and that a guy hitting on her may very well get you killed as well.
There was no fear of that happening you soon figured out as you got to the door and saw her standing in front of it in a regular black t-shirt and jeans. She seemed very surprised that you had sprinted towards the door. Actually, now that you thought about it, there was something very different about her. She seemed more cheerful and, well, easier to talk to. You thought of saying something about it but you didn't know how exactly to tell her. It's not like you can just tell a girl that she's suddenly a lot easier to talk to.
Deciding to put it aside for now you walked up to her.
"Why did you open the door?" You decided to ask her.
"I thought I heard someone knocking." She said with a huge innocent grin.
You left it at that and went into the kitchen to make breakfast. When you were done you laid out two plates of pancakes. There was silence for a bit while you ate. Afterwards you relaxed in front of the TV while she cuddled up next to you and watched with you. That when you realized something was very wrong.
You knew that she was acting different but to this extent was unfathomable. There was something very wrong with her and you had to find out what. You looked at her and thought of the possibilities. Then it dawned n you. This was a clone.
It made so much sense that you mentally slapped yourself for not thinking of it earlier. Then you began to panic. If this Kurumi was a clone that meant that the real one was still out there. Quickly you stood up while the clone Kurumi protested and ran out of the apartment.
There was a disparity to your run. You put everything you had into finding her. As you ran many people started to look at you strange but you didn't care. The only thing that mattered was finding her before she killed someone, possibly everyone.
