9. The rule was, at this resort you could not leave your towel on a sun bed before 10.00 am unaccompanied, this rule was clearly not for everyone as I saw many Spanish people leaving their sun beds between this time for more than 30 minutes and towels not removed. On the fourth day we finally found out, there is a bar 15 minutes walk to the other side of the resort / hotel that serves between 8 am - 10 am. On three occasions, we left our sun beds to walk to the only bar that served drinks and upon returning, our towels had been removed and lost by staff. They tried to charge us 75 euros (25 each for towel) for their incompetence. My son is just 4 years old and in very hot weather, he needs to drink regularly, which I am sure you can appreciate. I went to the reception four times about this matter and asked for a bottle of water and was told they couldn’t help in broken English.
10. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was shocking, mainly fish and the odd meat dish which normally included fish anyway. Absolutely nothing for children, on one occasion they had onion rings. My son lived off plain rice and chips for every meal for the whole of the holiday and at breakfast he had one piece of toast. On nine separate occasions, we didn’t even go for either breakfast, lunch or dinner as the food was that bad. As a practicing vegetarian, I was absolutely disgusted when I ate a VEGETARIAN rice dish and was told there was tofu / soya in it. Upon eating this dish, I ate pork, I asked for the manager to verify and he sniggered and said “Of course it’s pork”, words failed me as I have not eaten meat for 20 years.
