This special project studied and created a solar parabolic trough systems. A parabolic trough having width 60 cm ,lenght 150 cm. There are three troughs and having an aperture area 2.7 m2. The reflector is a parabolic shaped mirror stainless steel. A parabolic reflector reflects and concentrates all the sun rays on the absorber tube. The absorber tube is placed at the focal length of the parabolic trough collector, a length of 180 cm. Inside the absorber tube is a copper tube for the passage of water, water flows inside the pipe with mass flow rate 0.0263 kg/s. Experiment to find the thermal efficiency of the parabolic trough are reference to the standard 93-77. The results showed that the maximum thermal efficiency is 67.49% at the maximum solar intensity is 1077.17 w/m2 and can produce hot water has a maximum temperature of 55.9 degrees Celsius.
