Hi Kantnicha
I received the below email from Cyn at Tihoi. It is starting to sound more positive. Are you receiving any emails at all from Nakom? I am keen for him to still handwrite some letters home (but maybe we would get them translated first). Let me know if you would be happy with this. If you want to send me any emails for him, please do so and I can then pop them in the post and he will receive them like the other boys.
Also – Nakom and the other Thai boy, One, will come and stay at my house for the week in August. (photo attached – I moved in to my lovely new home in March). I thought this might be better as I do not want him to get homesick at a new homestay. I hope that is ok with you. I will have a good talk to him when he is there. Once he is settled at Tihoi, we can try a new homestay.

Hi- pleased to report an improvement over the last few days with Nakom. Perhaps the warm nor-wester has helped; anyway a lot more engaged in the outdoor programme – he did rock n ropes. Learnt to belay, went on the high ropes course and did an abseil. Seems happier with others (who are making an effort). Still a few bouts of homesickness but this is expected. Great news. Cyn
