Chaotic dynamics in Power Electronics appears to be a promising and emerging area. In this paper, research is made on how the frequency pattern is getting changed in a Buck converter with chaotic dynamics. Simulation of the converter
circuit shows that even a slight deviation of any of the designed values causes enormous sub harmonics and ultra harmonics in the system. Though many methods are found in literature for analyzing chaos, spectral analysis gives good interpretation, accuracy and information about the system harmonics. Spectral method
of detecting chaos in time series is found to be very easy, requires very short time series for analysis and less time for computation.
