The tensegrity massage methodology entailed a lying position
(Fig.2).Themassage startedwith brushing the skininthe abdominal
area (Fig. 3). Then elastic deformation of the thoracolumbar fascia
was performed in the form of displacement (Fig. 4. The abdominal
integumentswereelasticallydeformedbykneading(Fig.5).Thenext
treatment stage aimed at triggering peristalsis in the vessels
transporting lymph from the pelvic area by performing circular
movements within the limits of the skin’s mobility in the medialthird of the thigh, in the direction of the hiatus saphenus. Stroking
movements in the direction of the armpit, along the thoracoepigastric
andcostoaxillaryveins, facilitatedvenousbloodoutflowfrom
the upper part of the abdominal integuments (Fig. 6). The intercostal
muscleswerethendeformedin theintercostal spaces of thefalse ribs
(Fig. 7) (Földi & Kubik,1993; Kassolik et al., 2007c;Wilk et al., 2011).
Each tensegrity massage session lasted 20min.
