Data and information from many sources are collected, integrated, and in some instances analyzed, by respective departments or function groups, then deployed to users to provide timely information in support of decision-making and day-to-day management. Operational data are used at various levels in decision- making to support improvement and innovation. Based upon user need, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly summaries and reports are created. As appropri- ate, results (including KI’s) are charted and analyzed for trends, variation, and progress to goal, on established schedules.
