We have proposed a system that automatically generate
3D face model from the given frontal image of the face and
generates the animation by producing intermediate frames
between given key-frames. Facial animation is produced by
interpolation between two or more different models using 2D
morphing techniques combined with 3d transformations of
geometric model. Novelty of our system is eye animation
using texture manipulation. We have used 3D facial
expression database BU-3DFE [11] for texture mapping.
The paper is organized as follows: Section II describes
3D face model reconstruction. It is followed by morphing in
section ill. The simulation results and conclusions are
discussed in section IV and V.
