Reading test was run. A questionnaire was
given to students to measure their level of task self-assessment. Spearman rank- order correlation test
was run to the results of the questionnaire and the reading comprehension test by using SPSS 22 to
answer the research question and to investigate the possible relationship between task selfassessment,
and reading skill of Iranian EFL learners. The finding of the study revealed that there is a
medium relationship between task self-assessment and reading skill of female student.
