Programs and files may be shared between some or all of the computers on the network. The result of sharing programs between the computers is cost effectiveness. Several programs and applications (including operating systems) are available in a network version that has been designed specifically to be used by or to manage several computers on a network and are much more economical than having to buy and install the software onto each computer individually. The sharing of files between computers on a network results in increased productivity and convenience for the users.
