pollinated in an inflorescence to assure fruit set, 92 functionallyindeterminate, 83 functionally determinate and 61 functionallyindeterminate removing the vegetative growth were used to per-form hand pollinations. Four different groups were establishedbased on the number of hand pollinated flowers per inflorescence:1–5, 6–10, 11–15 and 16–20 flowers. The rest of the non-pollinatedflowers in the inflorescence were removed. A total of 1424 flowerswere hand pollinated in functionally determinate inflorescences,1170 in functionally indeterminate inflorescences and 749 in func-tionally indeterminate inflorescences with the vegetative shootremoved. The pattern of flower/fruit drop was estimated weeklyduring the months following the flowering season (from May toJuly) and monthly since August.
