harvesting, and that may increase the optimal rotation age since it
reduces the risk of acute household financial hardship. Other uncertainties
have also not been incorporated in the study. For example, the
risk of timber loss from fire may change with forest age, lower timber
productivity due to severe weather events, and carbon release into
atmosphere because of forest fires. Considerations of these additional
issues in a forest level model could be included in future research
