Responsibilities:
Through the direction of the supervision, manage and direct the flow of work, material and personnel, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste, on a daily basis, to assist the company in the attainment of their established goals for quality, productivity and timely delivery:
Assure availability of necessary resources to perform scheduled assignments.
Review and revise Standard Work Instructions, as necessary.
Work closely with scheduling personnel
Provide training resources to assigned associates. Work toward continuous development of associates.
Monitor, develop, recommend and implement measures to improve methods, equipment performance and quality of production.
Foster continuous improvement activities and maintain TS16949.
Maintain proper communications within the operations.
Assure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations.
Support and maintain safe work environment and practices in compliance with established safety rules and practices.
Responsible for maintaining proper employee relations, working closely with the human resources department.
Cooperate and work closely with other departmental managers.
Active contributor to management cost reduction and planning efforts.
Active team participant in Kaizen, lean manufacturing and problem solving initiatives.
Participate and perform scheduled inventories, as required.
Perform technical/administrative duties, as necessary, to include:
Associate scheduling and attendance records
Required operational records and documentation
Budgeting
Scheduling
Capacity planning
Capital and emergency appropriation development
Quoting potential new work
Review and regulate staffing requirements
Instrumental in the Performance Management process by conducting performance appraisals.
Molding process building & trouble shooting & optimization

Qualifications:
Business Administration or Engineering degree preferred.
5-7 years experience in manufacturing, automotive product experience preferred.
Manufacturing process knowledge, related tooling, and injection molded plastics industry preferred.
Experience with second surface finish plastics (plateable and finish paint).
Strong management/supervisory and people skills.
Good leadership skills and understanding.
Manufacturing experience that includes:a. Lean manufacturing concepts b. Cellular manufacturing concepts c. Continuous improvement efforts d. Performance management e. Problem solving techniques f. Kaizen, Kan Ban and value stream mapping g. Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements
Ability to grow and adapt to changing business environment
