These integrated and optimized approaches strategies have
provided the means to tackle complex nematode infection problems
through manipulation of the plant resources by intercropping
and tobacco residue recycling. However, closer links between
molecular biology, physiology and farming practices are essential
for further progress in present and future nematode control
research. Eventually, a set of comprehensive integrated and optimized
approaches to improve crop productivity and the nutritional
quality while decreasing nematode disease in harvested products
will become available and widely used
