Approximately 50 g of cleaned and unbroken soybeans [Glycine max (L.) Merr.], lipoxygenase-null cultivar BRS 257 (Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária, Londrina/Paraná, Brazil) from the crop year 2013 was used in a 1:1.5 (g:g, soybean:deionised water) ratio for each soaking assay.
