« WG fucked up again: Bad News in 0.4.1 Build »
After a leak from one of the NA players, the community got to know that with the update to the build 0.4.1 shit is going to rain hard. I will simply quote my words over the official EU forum of World of Warships, to make things quick:
"With the update 0.4.1 the client architecture of WoWs will completely change to be more similiar to what WoT used to be. This with the slight difference that ALL the assets of the game will be packed inside .pkg archives that are not recognized by any extractor available, 'cause the stuff is freaking encrypted (Kinda the same as with the scripts after the "AIM Assist" incident). Basically, this means that without proprietary tools from WG EVERY SINGLE MOD (Even the NON harmful) will be virtually impossible to make."
This change of direction (Again) and this new brutally awful behavior against modding from WG... is simply ridicolous. I'm really angry right now about the situation, especially because of the answers I've got by Ev1n and my impossibility of do anything to make things change back to sanity. At least this will not be possible alone!
If you've download our modifications it means that you probably understand and value the importance of having a mod friendly environment inside a game like WoWs. Because let's be honest, many of you wouldn't even play on WoWs without your favorite ship girls from KanColle. I'm the same as you.
Please, voice your anger or dissatisfaction in the thread at the following link:
A message directed to WG about 0.4.1 and Mods... is this really true?
Also, I personally don't even know anymore how I'm supposed to deal with my patrons after a terrible find like this...
Team 20.3cm might start to mod on different games as well. In the case you've a suggestion, please forward it to our Facebook.
Best regards,
Tsukotaku.
