country ranked top in both the prevalence of obesity and
overweight in south-east Asia, placed sixth in the prevalence
of obesity (seventh in the prevalence of overweight) in Asia,
and ranked 39th in the prevalence of obesity (44th in
overweight prevalence) worldwide. In addition to this, the
latest report of the National Health and Morbidity Survey
(NHMS 2011) revealed that the prevalence of
non-communicable disease (NCD) risk factors continued to
rise. It is estimated about more than 17 million Malaysians or
60.7% of the populations are living with NCD, not to mention
