In this study, we prepared BST ceramics via HEBM method.
Better temperature stability and reduced dielectric constant were gained due to the internal stress induced by the refined grains
but the tunability was not deteriorated heavily.
The dielectric loss kept at the same level with the traditional coarse-grained ceramics
and was lower than the nano-grained specimens gained from chemical routes. BaWO4 phase detected in this study had no negative effect on the overall dielectric performance of BST. All these results illustrated that HEBM was a simple and effective way in synthesizing BST ceramics for tunable applications.
