Reason: Unable to load period dates.
This may appear as reason 5 since this is also Unable to load period dates. This is due to a problem with the Nominal Ledger period dates.
To Check if the NL dates are corrupt, missing or in use, navigate to the following option:
•Select Nominal Ledger and the relevant company from the Master menu
•Select System maintenance from the Nominal Ledger menu
•Select NL period-end dates from the System maintenance menu
• Check the dates for both years by clicking on the year on the bottom right hand side as seen below:
dates details
If the dates are incorrect or missing, check with the customer what they should be and speak to a senior analyst before amending them.
If the dates all look fine then check the NL.dates file in File Utilities to make sure the file is not in use.
If the file is in use then get the users out of the appropriate modules. If it is still in-use when they are all out then reset the file.
Note: Refer to a senior analyst if in any doubt.
Check with the customer if they require the daybooks to be printed as the withheld transactions can be posted on the original terminal number.
Once the withheld reason(s) have been rectified, the withheld transactions will be processed and clear automatically when the End of Day runs.
