The educators responsible for two exemplary WBE programs were asked to identify a youth, who they thought was overcoming adversity and thriving in a workplace learning context. Because resiliency is specific to the individual, each educator selected a student who had demonstrated progress compared to his or her previous educational experiences. One WBE program was a focused career development program in an upholstery shop, and the at-risk youth identified was Tim (18 years of age).
