Analyses were performed on an Agilent gas chromatograph (Agilent Technologies, CA, USA) equipped with an electron micro-capture detector and a capillary column (ZB35HT Inferno Zebron 30-m length × 0.25-mm ID × 0.25-μm film thickness, Phenomenex, CA, USA). The temperature program started at 80°C andwas raised by 15°C/min to 160°C, then raised by 2.5°C/min to 180°C, and held for 7 min. The carrier gas was He. The injection of 1 μL extract was in splitless mode (Uniliner, Restek, USA) at 210°C. Measurements included DDE and DDD as products of DDT degradation.DDTstandardswere analyzed to verify that there was no measurable breakdown of DDT to DDE and DDD. Internal standards were spiked in each sample prior to quantification. Calibration was carried outaccording to USEPA
