CHASSIS TORQUE MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE
1 Attain Equipment/Sample
2 Mount Chassis to fixture
Follow Bolting sequence as-
1. REAR IB
2. REAR OB
3. FRONT IB
4. FRONT OB
Torque- 20+/-5Nm
3 Attach dummy mexh to chassis with 3 M6 screws
Any bolting sequence
Torque-6Nm+/-2
4 Attach Crash bracket with help of 1M8 Nut and M6 screw
M8 torque 18Nm
M6 Torque 6Nm+/-2
5 Apply Grease to pinion and mech
6 Cycle up and down 1 time to break paint/cold work joints
Speed 20rpm
7 Move chassis up and down 1 time and record graphical +raw data for wach movement as-
1. Full up to down-Speed 10rpm
2. Full down to up-Speed 10rpm
8 Disregard last 600ms data and then calculate average and peak torque.
9 Average torque from full down to full up-TBD
10 Average torque from full up to full down-TBD
