Considering that the cultivated Brassica oilseed crops, developed through plant breeding, can reach a seed oil content from 45 to 50%, and that the oil content of wildBrassicas species may vary from 5 to 50%, I. indigotica could be an interesting oil resource, showing values similar to Brassica carinata A. Braun (36–46%) and lower than those found in high-erucic winter oilseed rape (B. napus L. var. oleifera) (46–50%) (Zanetti et al., 2009).
