cellular Fe is localised in the chloroplasts of rapid growing leaves
and in thylakoids as the main structures of cytochromes; other
Fe can be stored in plant cells in the stroma of plastids as phytoferritin (Cohen, Fox, Garvin, & Kochian, 1998; Hänsch & Mendel,
2009)
