The Bergman and Moore model was a recent project for myself and 3 other classmates. We had to present the model in all of it’s 1990 glory to the class, and discuss it’s advantages, disadvantages and how it compares to the ADDIE model. While I don’t have a recording of the excellent narrative that we all put on to inform, entertain (and keep the classes eyes from closing.) I do have the PowerPoint presentation posted here to share. Also if you are curious how our classmate’s rated us, a copy of all the feedback forms are in fact right here.
Though no one in the class wrote any additional comments on the back, which was a little disappointing as criticism is almost as much fun as sarcasm, the student who gave us all 4/4’s except for a single 3/4 and is in GradSchool should learn to grasp mathamatics a bit more see’ing as how our “overall final grade” he/she marked as a 3/4.
Biggest issue with the class (this saves you time from going through the feedback forms) was our amount of citations. We had 2. The original book by Bergman and Moore, not easily purchased or found was sitting gathering insane amounts of dust at the Florida State Library, and Tufts Universities Data on the ADDIE Model which we used in comparison to Bergman and Moore.
If you’ve clicked on the presentation you may notice that the model itself looks less 1990 and more 2011. A lot of the presentations, papers and even youtube video’s all use the original looking (if not scanned from) thebook from the 90’s. A vast majority of them though have a typographical error where result reports is labeled as result reprots. My initial thought was to correct the error, until I made the decision to graphically update the look and feel of it.
