With the combination of DMAIC and GQM, a set of for
software requirement change metrics is put forward. And
the process of problem definition, data collection and
analysis, process improvement are studied with a practical
case. In these methods, the quantitative measurement of the
software requirement changes is the key to quality
improvement. The introduction of statistical methods into
software development can make the quality improvement
more operable. Because software development processes
are quite different from manufacturing processes, there are
still many problems should be studied, such as how to use
six-sigma in the lifecycle of software development,
software metrics of other problems, etc
