The most abundant family was Baetidae (Ephemeroptera), followed by Chironomidae (Diptera), Corixidae (Hemiptera) and Hydropsychidae (Trichoptera) at 68, 14, 9 and 4 %, respectively (Figure 2, Table 2). Similarly, Chiangthong (2005)
found that the most abundant family found during the year was Baetidae in Mae Kham watershed. Only one family of Plecoptera was found in this study. In the same way, the diversity of Plecopteran families is low in tropical Asian streams (Dudgeon, 2000). The most abundant of the individuals was Ephemeroptera (408 individuals) and the least was Coleoptera (4 individuals) (Table 2).
