This orientation to product standardization and sales facilitates the firm's efforts to develop economies of scales throughout its operations. However, because of this approach, local cultures and trends have little influence on the product lines Avon develops and sells. In the future, Avon may devote attention to determining if identifying and serving any unique needs that may exist for the firm's products across cultures, countries, and regions could create more value for customers.
