The King of the Beasts
The lion is the “King of the Beasts.” Lions go hunting as a family group. They only hunt when they are hungry. They kill their prey with their strong paws and teeth. They usually prey on antelopes and zebras.
The cubs of lions are quite playful. They often play near their parents because they know that their parents will protect them. Lion cubs are taught to hunt at a young age.
All lions are meat-eaters. They move about slowly when they are not hunting. They are usually very quiet but they roar loudly when they are threatened
