The purpose of this research is to investigate the influences of sustainable
entrepreneurship (SE) on firm performance via inter-functional coordination and work
exertion as moderators. It also examines the impacts of leadership flexibility,
technological commercialization competency, and production capability on sustainable
entrepreneurship. In addition, it tests the effects of business mindset and integrated
business intelligence on leadership flexibility, technological commercialization
competency, and production capability through environmental proactive learning and
corporate social responsibility awareness as moderators. Resource-based view of the
firms and contingency approach are implemented to explain and promote the conceptual
framework. The 1,520 small and medium enterprises in Thailand are used a sample for
the research.
The results show that operational progressiveness, advanced differential
competitiveness, and continuous opportunity seeking have a significant positive
influence on firm performance. Work exertion is the perfect moderator of the
sustainable entrepreneurship-firm performance relationships and inter-functional
coordination is a moderator of the operational progressiveness-firm performance
relationships and the advanced differential competitiveness-firm performance
relationships. Similarly, leadership flexibility, technological commercialization
competency, and production capability have an important positive effect on sustainable
entrepreneurship. With interest of the moderating impacts, environmental proactive
learning is not a moderator of the relationships, but corporate social responsibility
