A novel nanocomposite based on in situ nanofiller (SiO
2
)
incorporated CMT-g-PAM, with excellent flocculation and dye
adsorption efficiency has been successfully synthesized. It is
obvious that the concentration of SiO2 content greatly
influences theflocculation as well as adsorption capacity; the
best performing nanocomposite being achieved at 1.5 wt % of
nanosilica. The highflocculation and adsorption capacity of the
nanocomposite is due to its higher hydrodynamic volume, as
well as higher hydrodynamic radius, which is generated from
the uniform distribution of the nanofiller on the surface of the
polymer matrix
