Intermediate pulp types:
TMPThermo Mechanical Pulp In this procedure, chopped waste wood is vaporised and then beaten into single fibres in refiners under vapour pressure.
CTMPChemi-Thermo Mechanical Pulp (wood pulp) This process consists of a combination of impregnation (mixing with a chemical pulp), cooking, refining and bleaching. The pulping yield amounts to 90%.
The fibre length and the related strength of the paper are controllable. CTMP contains a certain amount of lignin, a tenacious, tough substance from the cell wall of the wood which strongly turns yellow.
