In the Pareto chart, it was verified that the linear effect of the drying time was the most relevant regarding PSOY. It was found that PSOY is inversely proportional to the product moisture. This analysis may also be performed for the interaction between time and temperature, as these two parameters directly influence the product final moisture. Other observation was that for longer times inside the equipment, the friction between seeds and between seeds and walls is higher. This phenomenon has influence in the quality of oil and yield. At higher air velocities, there is a greater contact between particles increasing the friction between them. In addition, is possible to remove seeds with low quality by difference of density using higher air velocities, improving the quality of oil extraction. After the examination of parameters significance, in Table 6 are presented the regression coefficients and the adjusted model for the PSOY.
