In the case of blade type A, the tip clearance at the leading and trailing edge is decreased by 46.7% and 33.9%, respectively (Fig. 10a). The relative tip clearance at the leading edge of the blade type A is reduced to about 1.24% which can have great influence on the structure reliability. In the case of blade type B, the tip clearance at the leading and trailing edge is decreased by 25.4% and 24.5%, respectively (Fig. 10b). The relative tip clearance at the leading edge of the blade type B is reduced to about 1.74%. The averaged running tip clearance of blade type A and B is 1.84% and 1.93%, respectively.
