Youngjae took in a few deep breaths to calm himself as he watched Bang Yongguk load his pistol. He looked around the room, remembering the last time he'd been in here. He took in a shaky breath. This was where he'd been forced to take drugs. It was hard being in the room. Everything was replaying so vividly and he could feel everything so clearly again. The dread, the fear and most of all – the pleasure. Youngjae bit at his lower lip, his hands nervously fidgeting as he tried to fight off the feelings.
He hated himself for wanting the drugs again.
Youngjae shook his head and tried to think of something else. He still didn't know what was going to happen tonight. He'd asked more than just a few times, only to be told they would tell him later on. It was more than just a little frustrating, not knowing what to prepare for. He reached up to touch the gun hidden in the holster of his blazer.
He had practiced shooting everyday with Jung Daehyun, gradually pretending to improve. It was comforting to finally have something to protect himself again even though Youngjae hoped he would never have to use it. Yongguk stood up and motioned for the younger man to do the same.
He took in another deep breath as he followed Yongguk out of the room and into the noisy club. He didn't ask any questions as they moved through the club and outside to a luxury car stopped at the front. Yongguk opened the door and the younger man took the hint to get inside. His breath caught ever so slightly as he met eyes with Daehyun.
Daehyun smiled at him and he looked away, getting inside. He stared forward, trying to ignore the older man's eyes on him. The driver glanced back at Daehyun once Yongguk sat down in the passenger seat. “Ready, boss?” He asked.
The older man nodded in approval and then they were on the road. Youngjae felt a warm hand on his thigh and he slowly looked over. “I suppose you're wondering what tonight is about, correct?” Youngjae nodded his head.“We're meeting with a valued costumer of mine.”
Youngjae looked at him in interest. “Costumer?” He repeated, hoping that wasn't the only information he was going to be given.
“We're going to assassinate him.” Daehyun said so calmly that chills ran down his spine. Before Youngjae could ask why, he smiled and continued. “You see, Youngjae, I supply him with the drugs. The deal is sixty percent of the money comes back to me. I learned Mr. Choi has only been giving back forty percent of the money.” The man's smile dropped and his face turned wickedly dark. “And I don't take to being ripped off very well.”
Youngjae swallowed thickly and nodded his head. Daehyun's whole aura had suddenly turned so dark, so evil. His heart was racing as he thought over the older man's words. He was expected to kill tonight. The man closed his eyes and let it sink in. There would be blood shed tonight and either he would kill or be killed.
“Are you ready?” Jung Daehyun's voice broke him out of his thoughts.
Youngjae stared at him before hesitantly answering. “I don't know.” He answered honestly.
The man slowly nodded his head, seemingly pleased by his answer. “Good.” He stared forward. “Being over-confident on the first mission always gets men killed.”
The car came to a stop and Youngjae could feel his throat tightening. He told himself to stay calm. Legally, if he was attacked, he was allowed to protect himself. The thought still didn't comfort him. Yongguk got out of the car before giving them both the 'OK' to get out as well. He looked around, trying to figure out where exactly he was. He couldn't recognize anything but he told himself to remember the specific details, like that they were going towards a railway bridge. He looked over to his left, taking note of the small lake. His eyes went upwards towards the tracks, narrowing his eyes when he thought he saw something. He stared for a moment before following the men underneath the railway bridge.
“Mr. Choi.” Daehyun's voice was dark and threatening.
The man stared at him for a long time before speaking. “What an honor.” Mr. Choi paused for a moment and he met eyes with Youngjae. The younger man forced himself to hold eye contact until the stranger looked away. “You don't normally visit me too, Mr. Jung.”
Youngjae tensed up as the older man reached into his blazer and pulled out his gun. “Where's my money, Choi?” He asked without taking his eyes off the gun, his fingers brushing against the cool steel.
Youngjae watched closely as panic flickered on his face before turning blank again. “What are you talking about?” He was certain Daehyun had seen it. This man wasn't fooling anyone. Before Youngjae could even realize it, Daehyun had grabbed the man by the throat and slammed him against the hard brick wall. “Where is my money?!” Daehyun hissed, squeezing his throat and holding the gun against Mr. Choi's temple.
The man clawed at his hands. “I don't have it!” He choked out and tried to sneak his hands into his pocket. Youngjae had to cringe when Jung Daehyun slammed his head against the brick loud enough to make a horrid cracking noise.
“ғυϲƙ!” Yongguk hissed at he started shooting and it only took Youngjae a couple of seconds to notice a man ducking around the corner of the railway bridge. He spun around and sure enough someone was behind them. He met the man's eyes before dodging the bullet headed his way. He quickly pulled the trigger of his own gun. He could feel his heart racing when he realized that he could have died had he not moved quick enough.
He didn't want to kill but he had no choice. It was his life or his own life. Youngjae had never felt the need to survive more than he did there as he hurriedly aimed and pulled the trigger, hitting the man dead-on in the chest. The man dropped to the ground and everything froze for a moment.
He felt numb, so numb and it was scaring him that he was starting to feel like this towards murder. He broke out his trance hearing Yongguk shout his name. “Is your side clear?” He asked and Youngjae realized they were both back to back.
“As far as I know.” He replied, his voice trembling slightly.
“Boss, are you going to finish him off?” Yongguk asked, watching as Daehyun continued to brutally beat the man lying on the ground.
Jung Daehyun stared down at the weak, broken and bleeding man at his feet. “What a shame, really.” He murmured. “None of this had to happen but you stole my money.” He kicked the man's face and the man let out a soft groan, going in and out of consciousness. “I'm a reasonable man, Mr. Choi. You could have talked to me if you needed a little extra cash but instead. . .” He trailed off for a moment. “Tell me where the money is or I'll end your life right here.”
“Apartment-” The man tried to speak. “My-” He coughed up blood, hissing in pain. “Apartment-”
Daehyun stared at him for a moment before smiling. “Pleasure doing business with you.” Mr. Choi weakly looked up right as Daehyun aimed his gun and fired. Youngjae closed his eyes, unable to watch and then everything was silent.
“Son of a bitch.” Daehyun muttered as he kicked the man's body one final time before looking up and meeting eyes with Youngjae. The younger felt overwhelmed by the look of pleasure and excitement on his face. Jung Daehyun took pleasure in killing. “Let's leave.” The man said.
The three men started towards the car, Youngjae walking in the front. “Daehyun.” He whispered softly before spinning around and pushing Daehyun out of the way. The older man couldn't hide the look of surprise on his face as a bullet grazed Youngjae's arm. It didn't seem like the younger man even noticed as he started firing at the top of the railway bridge, Yongguk quickly joining in.
“ғυϲƙ.” Yongguk hissed as the man fell from the bridge, hitting the ground with a loud thud. “I didn't even ғυϲƙing see them up there!”
Youngjae swallowed thickly, staring at the man's dead body before turning to look at Daehyun. The man was staring at him with such an unreadable look. “You saved me.” He said breathlessly, his expression changing into one Youngjae had never seen from him before.
Love.

Youngjae lifted his glass of wine to his lips, taking a slow small sip of the drink. His mind was racing with thoughts and he had a lot of questions he wanted to ask Daehyun but he didn't know how to. He let out a long sigh, replaying everything that had happened earlier.
It would be an understatement to say he felt guilty. He'd taken two lives in one night. He kept telling himself that there really had been no other choice, they attacked him first. It helped a little but he still couldn't shake the feeling. It wasn't nearly as bad as the first mission with Yongguk. He looked up at Daehyun as he walked out from the bedroom.
The older man had been quiet ever since they'd left the crime scene; his face was calm and collected. Youngjae didn't know what he was thinking but he'd managed to tell himself that flicker of love had just been in his head, something he'd just imagined.
“So. . .” Youngjae paused, awkwardly clearing his throat. “Did I pass?”
The man smiled and sat down in the chair across from him, his posture relaxed as he slouched in the recliner, spreading his legs. Youngjae watched as the man patted his thigh before calling him over. He stood up from the couch and moved so he was sitting sideways on one of Daehyun's thighs. He pulled his legs up and rested them over the arm rest, sighing softly as the older man pulled him closer. He wrapped his own arm around Daehyun's shoulder and then things were quiet again.
“Did I pass?” Youngjae finally got himself to ask again, holding tightly onto his glass of wine.
Daehyun chuckled and looked up at him. “Why are you so anxious?” He reached up to smooth down the younger man's soft hair. Youngjae leaned into the touch without answeri
