The damage direct in front of the seam has been caused by a wrinkle in the belt.
This wrinkle has been grinded by the scraper until the warp wires were so thin that parts
fall out of the belt. The wrinkle (maybe caused by wrong loading) would have been
more worse with a 5090 belt, because 5156 is more cross stable. The cuts at the edge in
cross direction are very unusual. Anyhow, the seam of the belt is still OK. They can
still use the belt if they fix the damaged area with a repair glue!
At present we have no stock in 3 m widths, neither type 5090 nor 5156. We have
productions planned, 5156 would be available end of October, 5090 mid of November.
Only type 1003 is available from stock.
