3.3. Optimisation of experimental chemical and physical variables
Similar experimental results were obtained for both columns so, the
graphs of Fig. 3 are the only depicted peaks obtained when the column
filledwith pro-MWCNTswas used. The four graphs in Fig 3 showthe results
obtained for the preconcentration of 10 μg Sb L−1 solutions, each
graph corresponds to a specific eluent condition assessed.
The results denote that in general terms, the buffers that resulted adequate
as reaction media were: phtalate N acetate N oxalate. Briefly,
phtalate buffer showed the best performance (control of interferences)
when As(III) and Fe(III)were tested as typical interferents. Tartrate and
citrate buffers were discarded as reaction media because Sb signal resulted
too low
